Challenge

The healthcare lab did not have a standardized laboratory information system for managing the full process of genetic and infection testing: from patient registration, test configuration, and laboratory samples to testing results and reports to the patient’s email.
Another client’s request was to create a virtual DNA bank with the anonymized patient’s data for statistical reports and research.
One more challenge was an information management system (LIMS), for storing and accessing quality control (QC) information all in one place.
Also it was needed to integrate the processes of online laboratory equipment and other LIMS solutions to improve lab productivity and laboratory information management.
Although the primary purpose of a LIMS solution such as Leogene except the enabling laboratory workflows automation (even for multiple labs, which can reduce human errors) is to get the opportunity of data management and inventory management, track clinical labs processes, and perform data analytics.
